Contributing
We welcome all contributions to The Carbon Account - be they small tweaks or large feature changes.
The source code is freely available - see Installation for more information on obtaining a copy - and we'd appreciate you sending us any changes or improvements you make.
Initially, you should send patch files to us at code@… - we will hand out subversion commit access to those people who have submitted at least a few good patches and who we trust.
Remember that the code is covered by several licenses, which you will have to respect if you use the code for your own site or application.
Tickets and desired features
If you are a developer interested in contributing, have a look at the list of tickets - http://code.thecarbonaccount.com/trac/report/1 (or click View Tickets in the top menu). Tickets generally contain desired fixes to known problems, or small enhancements that can be implemented relatively easily.
In addition to individual tickets, there is a long and growing list of Desired Features. If you start working on a certain aspect of a feature request, please add a new ticket and make it clear you are attempting it so that others don't start working on the same thing.
Feel free to email us at code@… to let us know if you or a group are going to tackle a particular problem.
